Writing is fun. I really need to do it more often. Hopefully this term I can stick to that notion and actually write some blog entries! Writing this on the bus ride from Sault Ste Marie to Barrie (from which I will eventually return to Waterloo), I hope to encourage myself for the future. There should be some interesting things to write about. Maybe I can even get my friends to start reading this, if I can post regularly enough.
The new term should bring some new excitement. My marks from the Fall aren't official yet, but I see some small improvements (not as much as I'd hoped for however). Things are starting quickly! By some mistake, it turns out that I'll be giving a talk at the KWLUG on Monday night about tiling window managers. I'm looking forward to giving it, but I wasn't expecting to do so until February's meeting. Luckily I prepared ahead of time. Also on Monday, my co-op work as a full-time tutor for CS 136 will start. I don't know exactly where just yet, which will make things interesting come Monday morning. And lastly, my Math 138 lectures will start. I have to pick a lecture section other than the one I was assigned, since it conflicts with the weekly meeting the tutors are supposed to have on Fridays. Thus, I will have to jump right into one of those sections on Monday, and officially switch later, once all scheduling stuff is figured out.
Along with excitement comes a sense of brooding as, alas, another work report now looms on the horizon. This time I would like to get a better head start on it. I need to come up with a topic early in the term.
New Blogging Software
OK, so I thought it was cool to write HTML by hand, but I've grown tired of it.
From now on I'll be using this. I leave for OSDI'08 in San Diego tomorrow,
perhaps I'll take some pictures.
